General Information

Archaeologia sells books, prints, and autographs about ancient Egypt (Memphis, Saqqara, Thebes, Abydos, Abu Simbel, Upper and Lower Egypt, Howard Carter, William Flinders Petrie, Budge, Brugsch, George Andrew Reisner), the ancient Near East (Ur, Jerusalem, Israel, Syria, Turkey), Greece (Heinrich Schliemann, Arthur Evans), and Rome, and the Americas (Olmec, Maya, Inca, Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Peru, Peruvian). Archaeologia specializes in books about the archaeology, archeology, history, religion, anthropology, language, and mythology of these areas of the world, as well as architecture, bronzes, coins and coinage, collections, early travels, auction catalogues, exhibition catalogues, festschriften, medicine, mummies, museum catalogs, catalogues, papyri, pottery, pyramids, tombs, scarabs, sculpture, cylinder seals, gems, shabtis,  vases and vase painting (Beazley, Fürtwangler, Richter). We sell prints by Giovanni Belzoni, David Roberts, Prisse d'Avennes, the Description de l'Ègypte, Piranesi,  Stuart and Revett, and Catherwood.

Condition of Items

All items are in good antiquarian condition, octavo (8vo) in size, and bound in their original cloth binding unless otherwise specified. Any purchase may be returned within one week, if received in the same condition as sent. All prices listed in previous catalogues are herewith cancelled.

Payment

Prices are net. Customers are requested to send payment with order. Institutional billing requirements accommodated. California residents please add appropriate sales tax (7.00% - 8.75% where applicable). All payments must be made in U.S. dollars, either by U.S. World Money Order or by check drawn on a U.S. bank; for FOREIGN DRAFTS, please contact us directly for banking information. CHECKS DRAWN ON FOREIGN BANKS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. Please note invoice number with payment. We accept VISA, MASTERCARD (ACCESS) and AMERICAN EXPRESS. Please supply name, home address, expiration date and card number exactly as it appears on the card.

Shipping

DOMESTIC CUSTOMERS will be charged for postage: $5.00 for the first volume and $2.00 for each additional volume. Orders will be sent via U.P.S. or U.S. Post Office (for P.O. Boxes). U.P.S. delivery takes approximately 6 working days. U.S. Postal Service may take up to three weeks via BOOK RATE, insured. NOTE TO OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS: exact shipping charges will be added, based upon foreign SURFACE MAIL RATE; please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery. Overseas libraries please specify any special shipping requirements with order. Foreign shipments, though insured, travel at buyer's risk.

Because only one copy of each book listed may be available, a telephone call, FAX or E-mail is advised to confirm your order; books will be reserved for one week. Please note time difference before calling! (We are located in the Pacific Time Zone of the United States). All books, prints, autographs and other stock is subject to prior sale.
